Who Can Use Digital Identity Checks Right to Rent?

CAN use if: UK or Irish biometric passport, passport in-date, have smartphone with camera, received invitation from employer/landlord

CANNOT use if: No passport, non-UK/Irish passport, passport expired , no smartphone available

Note:
Although share codes do not fall under the digital scheme route, they can still be submitted using the same method as a remote check via TrustID. Please note Right to Rent share codes will always begin with the letter "R".

CAN use if you're: UK-based organisation, hiring employees (any sector), recruitment agency, landlord or letting agent, volunteer coordinator

CANNOT use if you're: Individual consumer (B2B service only), non-UK based (unless UK operations)

UK Passport Holders: All UK citizens eligible, burgundy or blue both accepted, must be in date

Irish Passport Holders: Irish citizens eligible, green passport accepted, passport card also accepted, must be in date.
