STEP 2: Choose your document (10 seconds)

• UK or Irish passport ✅

• EU/EEA national ID card ✅

💡 TIP: Check your document is in-date

STEP 3: Photograph your document (30 seconds)

You must capture a live image of your document using your device’s camera. Pre-saved images from your gallery are not accepted to ensure security and authenticity.

DO:

✅ Use good lighting (natural light best)

✅ Keep camera steady

✅ Show all four corners

DON'T:

❌ Use pre-saved images from your gallery (only live photos are accepted).

❌ Use flash (causes glare)

❌ Photograph through plastic covers

❌ Cut off corners [VISUAL: Good vs bad photos]

STEP 4: Take a selfie (20 seconds)

Remove glasses and hats. Look straight at camera. Why we need this: We compare your selfie to the photo on your document.

STEP 5: Confirm and submit (10 seconds)

Review your photos and tap "Submit". Your submission will be securely transmitted to the verification system for processing.

What Happens Next?

Rejected? Common reasons:

• Blurred image → Retake in better light

• Glare → Turn off flash • Expired document → Use in-date version
